with the Guizhou Provincial Delegation
In hope of further strengthening the co-operation between Guizhou Province and Macao's educational institutions under the basis of the Framework Agreement on Poverty Alleviation signed between the Macao SAR Government and the said Province, Ms. Liu Rui, Deputy Director Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee; and Ms. Wang Rui, Director of the Office of International Co-operation and Exchanges under the Department of Education of Guizhou Province, jointly led a delegation to visit the Office of the Diocesan Catholic Education Commission in the morning of 18 May 2022 to discuss the feasibility in promoting in-depth education co-operation between Guizhou and Macao.
Ms. Liu and Ms. Wang started the meeting with the introduction of the characteristics in education and cultures of selected cities in Guizhou Province, and expressed their wish to invite schools from Macao to visit Guizhou in the near future, so as to learn from each other through in-depth exchanges between schools of both places. The two parties then systematically explored various possible directions of co-operation, agreeing that they could first organise a visit of Principals from schools of Macao to the province for insights on the needs of each other’s students, for the sake of adequate pairing of schools. At the same time, the delegation also introduced to the Macau Voice Raising Association, as the entity responsible for following up with future projects and co-ordinating between the United Front Work Department of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and the Department of Education of Guizhou Province in the implementation of co-operation with Macao institutions. Afterwards, the delegation was toured by Mr. Lei Ian Kit to visit the campus of Colégio Diocesano de São José 4.
