Marvellous Performance Shown at the "Happiness in Capital of Hakka in the World" Event
為慶祝中華人民共和國成立七十四周年，“客都有喜”——二〇二三廣東漢劇全國巡演·澳門展演於二零二三年十月十四日舉行，廣東漢劇傳承研究院帶來多段經典折子戲。
In celebration of the 74th anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, a special event titled "Happiness in Capital of Hakka in the World" 2023 Guangdong Han Opera National Tour Macau Performance was showcased on 14 October 2023. The Guangdong Han Opera Heritage Research Institute took centre stage, regaling attendees with several classical opera pieces.
活動由梅州市委宣傳部、梅州市委台港澳辦、梅州市文化廣電旅遊局主辦，廣東漢劇傳承研究院承辦，聖若瑟大學及澳門嘉應同鄉會協辦，演出於二零二三年十月十四日下午三時在聖大花地瑪百年顯現紀念堂上演。
The event was collaboratively organised by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Meizhou City Committee; Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau of the CPC Meizhou City Committee; and the Meizhou City Cultural, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau. Serving as the principal host was the Guangdong Han Opera Heritage Research Institute, together with the supporting organisers of the University of Saint Joseph and the Associação dos Conterrâneos de Karying de Macau. The stellar performance took place at 3:00 pm inside the Auditório Centenário de Fátima in the Ilha Verde Campus of the University of Saint Joseph.

An array of prominent figures graced the event, including the Most Reverend Bishop Stephen Lee Bun-Sang from the Catholic Diocese of Macao; Dr. Lao Ngai Leong, Macao Delegate of the National People's Congress; Mr. Zhang Yunquan from the Standing Committee and Propaganda Department of the CPC Meizhou City Committee; Ms. Yin Xiaolan, first grade researcher from the Co-ordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region; Reverend Deacon Professor Stephen Morgan, Rector of University of Saint Joseph; Mr. Deng Zhixing, Director of the Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao of the CPC Meizhou City Committee; Mr. Lai Chan Keong, member of the Administrative Committee of the Macao Foundation; Mr. Chan Ka Leong, member of the Executive Council of Macao Government; Ms. Chan Wun San, representative of the D.S.E.D.J.; Other esteemed attendees included Mr. Wong Chun Cheong, Founding President of the Associação dos Conterrâneos de Karying de Macau; Mr. Guo Shouyuan, current President of the Associação dos Conterrâneos de Karying de Macau; and Mr. Yang Zhennan, Founding President of the Macao Meizhou Chamber of Commerce and many others.
廣東漢劇為廣東省三大劇種之一，有三百多年歷史。廣東漢劇傳承研究院成立於一九五九年，是國家級非物質文化遺產廣東漢劇保護基地。劇院曾多次受邀赴外公演，澳門演出帶來多段特色的漢劇，為觀眾帶來嶄新的視聽享受。
The Guangdong Han Opera is one of the three major opera genres in Guangdong Province, with a history of more than 300 years. The Guangdong Han Opera Heritage Research Institute was established in 1959, and is the preservation hub of the Hakka opera as a national intangible cultural heritage. The Institute has been invited to perform overseas for many times, and this time they have introduced several of their featured opera pieces to audience of Macao for a brand new local sensation.
