Wrapping up of the Advanced Training Programme for
Religious Subject Teachers on “Theology of the Body”

由澳門教區生命委員會、教區天主教教育委員會與聖若瑟大學持續進修部合辦的「惜身文化」宗教老師進階培育課程2022-2023，於5月22日圓滿結束。在結業課當天，學員代表分享得着與體會，一同以欣喜的心情回顧過去八個月的學習經驗，隨後由課程總講師李斌生主教作回應，並以頒發證書作結，為課程劃上完滿的句號。

The 2022-2023 Advanced Training Programme for Religious Subject Teachers on “Theology of the Body” came to a fruitful conclusion on May 22, 2023. This collaborative effort was spearheaded by the Macau Diocesan Commission for Life, the Diocesan Catholic Education Commission, and the Lifelong Learning Office of the University of Saint Joseph. In the final session, participants enthusiastically shared their insights and experiences, fondly reflecting on the enlightening journey of the past eight months. The programme's completion was marked with the main instructor, the Most Reverend Bishop Stephen Lee, personally presenting certificates to each accomplished participant, encapsulating the successful conclusion of the programme.

在總結時，李主教指出「惜身文化」是整個天主教信仰的融合，涵蓋了信經中所宣認的各方面內容。當人越能活出貞潔之德，他的信仰生活必定有所提升，既因貞潔是來自人對天主愛的回應，因此，「惜身文化」是傳揚福音有效的管道。接着，李主教對學員表示欣賞和肯定，在過去初階及進階跨度兩個學年的培育中，學員均表現出充分的創意、堅毅和勇氣，特別是在進階課程作業所帶來的挑戰下，學員們仍能知難而上，藉着團體合作的力量去設計出有感染力的惜身課堂，見證天主的臨在。最後，李主教提到下一階段的計劃，他期望學員逐步展開惜身教學單元的編寫工作，並勉勵他們繼續信靠着天主聖神的帶領，不斷努力嘗試，為惜身文化的推廣作出貢獻。

In his concluding remarks, the Reverend Bishop highlighted that the "Theology of the Body" is the comprehensive embodiment of the Catholic faith, embracing all facets recognised in the Nicene Creed. He stated that the more one manifests the virtue of chastity, the more their life of faith gets elevated, as chastity is an expression of God's love. Therefore, the "Theology of the Body" serves as an effective conduit for evangelisation. Bishop Lee extended his admiration and affirmation to the participants, acknowledging that throughout the two academic years, each participant demonstrated abundant creativity, perseverance, and courage. Despite facing challenges posed by the assignments of the advanced programme, they managed to overcome them, designing impactful lessons through teamwork, thereby revealing God's presence. The Bishop also discussed the next phase, expecting that the participants will progressively initiate the compilation of grade-specific teaching plans. He encouraged them to maintain their trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit and to continue their dedicated efforts towards promoting the culture of the "Theology of the Body."

經過各項的培育環節，學員表示是次惜身課程不單讓他們加深了對「身體神學」的理解，也同時增進了他們自身的信仰成長，使他們更具備在惜身教學上所需的知識、技巧和使命感。此外，學員亦為能透過教學實踐和共同討論惜身課堂設計而感恩，他們學會了先去聆聽學生的想法，隨後再以多角度的方式，帶出「惜身文化」訊息。整體課程學習強化了學員對校內推廣的信心。

Through diversified training methodologies, participants shared that this programme not only deepened their comprehension of the subject matter but also fostered their personal faith growth. It armed them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and a strong sense of mission for teaching religious subjects. Additionally, they expressed gratitude for the opportunity to practice teaching and collectively devise lesson plans, learning to initially consider students' ideas and subsequently delivering the message of the "Theology of the Body" from a variety of perspectives. The cumulative learning experience significantly bolstered the participants' confidence in teaching within their respective schools.

本屆課程於2022年10月開始為期八個月，當中以理論講授、課本研習、經驗分享、靈修內化以及惜身教學匯報等課程面向，帶動學員一同反思和構想在校內推動惜身文化的可行方案。共有28名學員來自本地9所天主教教區學校成功完成課程，並獲取證書。

This Programme started in October 2022 and spanned a period of eight months, with integrated elements of theoretical teaching, literature exploration, experience sharing, spiritual internalisation, and teaching reports among others. The programme aimed to motivate participants to reflect upon and devise viable strategies for cultivating the "Theology of the Body" culture within schools. In total, 28 participants from 9 local Diocesan Schools successfully accomplished the programme, earning their certificates of completion.
